YouTube PromoBlast is a browser extension that hides promotional and sponsored videos from YouTube. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.

Data collection

YouTube PromoBlast does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. No information about you, your browsing activity, or your YouTube usage is ever sent to any external server.

Data stored locally

The extension stores the following data in your browser’s local storage only:

• Filter on/off state — whether the filter is currently enabled.
• Detected promotional video IDs — a list of YouTube video IDs identified as promotional, so they can be hidden immediately on future visits.

This data never leaves your device.

Permissions used

• storage — to save the filter state and detected video IDs locally in your browser.
• Host permission for youtube.com — to run the content script on YouTube pages and read YouTube’s internal API responses to identify promoted video slots.

Third-party services

This extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
